Somehow, This Is Business podcast cover art — Nata and Laura laughing together
A show for that brain

Some of us don't have a clean line between work and life.

We built the business around the life, or the life around the business, and now it all runs through the same wiring. This is the show for that.

Every week we pick up something we can't stop thinking about.

The movie plot. The pumpkin race that got weirdly competitive. The famous person behaving badly. The thing your kid said at dinner that stopped you cold.

From world events to a comedy special to what we'd cook if you came over, we follow it as far as it goes. We laugh a lot. We disagree out loud. And we end up talking about ambition, money, visibility, and what it costs to want things, because that's where it goes when you live like this.

You'll leave with something. Not a checklist.

A better question, a reframe, or the specific relief of hearing two people say the thing you thought was only you.

Nata Salvatori

runs Accidental CEO

Nata was born and raised in Brazil, where she played professional volleyball and barely spoke English when a scholarship landed her in the U.S. She earned a Doctorate in Physical Therapy, spent over a decade in healthcare leadership, and has since built six businesses across completely different industries, which gives her a wide range of insight most coaches don't have. Now she runs Accidental CEO, coaching founders to build businesses that don't run on their burnout. She lives in Florida with her two daughters and husband, while she plots to take over the world.

runs Cheeky Copy

Laura runs Cheeky Copy, where she writes launch copy for coaches and creatives who are done sounding like everyone else. Before that, she spent almost a decade rappelling off towers and skyscrapers as a fundraiser for nonprofits, which explains more than you'd think. She has a master's in education, two kids who say the funniest things at the worst possible moments, more houseplants than she'll admit to, and a Syracuse, New York backyard that gets all four seasons whether she's ready or not.

The line we couldn't stop thinking about.

Tell us the thing you can't stop thinking about.

A weird headline. A comment your kid made at dinner. A business plot twist you can't stop replaying. If it's stuck in your head, there's a decent chance it belongs on the show. Tell us the story, or just point us to the article, post, or thing that started it.
